Happy Friday everyone! In my district today is the last day of school for students. Teachers will go through next Wednesday. I know many of you have already started your summer vacation, and I hope you've been making the most of it!!
Since it's Friday that means I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for their weekly link up party, Five for Friday! I have a lot to share with you, including revealing which of my Tell All Tuesday 'facts' is actually a lie!
I have been hard at work creating products for my TPT store! Not being able to walk means I spend an inordinate amount of time on the couch, which gives me plenty of opportunities to create new products! Here's my most recent creation:
I wanted a way to reflect on how my TPT store is doing each month, as well as a way to store data for how my various social media sites are doing each month. This simple document lets me perform a monthly reflection and keep all of that data in one place. Hopefully this will help me to become a better seller!
Recently I entered a huge birthday bash giveaway that Teaching in the Net hosted. This prize pack consisted of OVER 20 different activities for the end of the school year, everything from memory books to clipart to EOY awards. Well, believe it or not, I WON!!
Holey Moley, I never win anything! Now I am the proud owner of so many different EOY activities and products I'm covered for the next twenty years or so! This was such an incredible prize to win, I'm still excited about it!! :-)
Since I have so much extra time because I'm stuck on the couch, I have decided to jump onto the Jamberry bandwagon. I'm sure you've heard of this awesome way to make your nails look AMAZING! I had never tried it before, even though I wanted to. A team mate of mine recently had a party so I bit the bullet and ordered some awesome Jams. I applied them this week.
I have a lot of practice yet to do with them. Gotta work on my sizing, since they're not supposed to touch your skin, and I also have to work on applying them without any bubble or creases. HOWEVER, I think I did a pretty good job for my very first time! I like the combination, it really reminds me of summer! I'm excited to keep trying them and getting better at the application process!
I have scheduled all of my laser treatments for the month of June. My doctor is hopeful that these treatments are going to work and heal my ankle enough that I can walk again. He said I'll never again be 100% like I was, but at this point I'll honestly be ecstatic just to walk again!!
Fingers crossed that these treatments are going to work for me. By the time June is over I will have had 6 treatments, which is the minimum amount needed in order to restore circulation and blood flow and diminish the scar tissue. At the end of June we'll either have to get more treatments or I'll be able to walk again. I'm pulling for the latter!!
Finally, I'm going to let you in on a little secret! On Tuesday I participated in the Tell All Tuesday link up hosted by Teach Talk Inspire and My Day in K. This linky had us telling three 'facts' about ourselves, but one of them had to be a big ol' lie! If you want to read about my Tell All Tuesday post click here!
I had such a GREAT time hopping around and reading all of the Tell All Tuesday posts. It was really hard to choose which was the lie on most of the posts I've read. We have some really good liars in our little blogging community!!! I stated that I am a tattooed teacher, a happy world traveler, and that I find clowns creepy and awful. I had a mixture of responses for which of the three was actually the lie. Most of the people who commented thought my lie was either #1, the tattooed teacher or #2, the world traveler. I'm here to tell you the truth!!
If you guessed #2 as my lie, you are correct!! Even though I am an Air Force Brat (that part was true) I didn't move around a lot. Instead I got to stay with my grandparents so I could have a stable childhood. In all honesty, I have never left the East coast. It has always been a dream of mine to travel, though! I based my #2 after my mom, who is the one to travel to 32 states. She was always up for a road trip and traveled to more states than I can dream of! Each state she stopped in she always bought one of those plastic magnets that was in the shape of the state she had visited. I always had such a good time trying to put those 32 magnets into a general outline of the United States. Yes, she really traveled to that many states and yes it most definitely is possible to travel to that many states!! She always told me to take any opportunity to get out there and see the world, that it would make me a more rounded person and I'd have experiences to last a lifetime. Now that Mom's gone, more than ever I want to travel. I hope to at least get to all of the states she did!!
Sorry if I stumped you, but I do indeed have 2 going on 3 tattoos and I think clowns are an abomination. Just putting that blasted clown picture up on my page gave me nightmares! Stupid clowns. I had such a GREAT Time with that linky, I can't wait to see what the ladies have planned for this week!
Make sure to head back over to Doodle Bugs Teaching to see who else has linked up for 5 for Friday!
Also, don't forget that tomorrow is Spotlight Saturday! I would LOVE for you to link up and Spotlight your favorite resource or product! I can't wait to read all about them! For more information on Spotlight Saturday, click on the image below!
