Tell All Tuesday: Teacher Bucket List

It's Tuesday, and that means that it's time to link up with My Day In K and Teach Talk Inspire for their super-fun summer linky, Tell All Tuesday!! This week it's all about what's on our Teacher Bucket List!

This week we have been asked to share the dreams we have for our teaching career. What do we hope to accomplish? How far do we want to go in this profession? This is a great topic for me this week, since I've had a lot of time to think about my teaching career over the past few months. I have a lot of goals and aspirations, and I'm excited to be able to get to share them!!

Here are my biggest Teaching Goals!

Master's Degree for Reading - I would LOVE to be able to obtain my Master's Degree in Reading and/or as a Reading Specialist. Reading and Writing are my very favorite things to do, and have been since I was a very little girl. I would love to specialize in reading so that I may have a larger tool kit of resources and ideas I can use to help all of the different levels of reading I get in my classroom every year. I believe that kindergarten is where it all begins, and if we can get them on the right track when they're in kindergarten than the rest of their school career will be much smoother. I want to learn everything there is to know about teaching reading and use that knowledge to help all of my kinders!!

Attend LOTS of Education Conferences: I would LOVE to be able to attend the amazing education conferences that are held throughout the year. Not just the TPT Conference, but all of them! Conferences for WBT, for Early Childhood, for Math...whatever I can find I want to attend! I LOVE learning new things and finding ways to apply them in my classroom, and I feel that education conferences are a super way of keeping up to date with what's going on in the world of education! Someday it would also be awesome to present something at a teaching conference!! I love helping others learn new things!!

Grow my TPT Store: I have had such an amazing experience with TPT! I LOVE creating new activities, to me it's stress-relieving and I view it a lot like scrapbooking! I get SO EXCITED when I hear or read about other teachers who are using my creations in their classrooms and getting results! I would very much love for my TPT store to grow in followers, as well as in the activities I have posted! One of my goals for this summer <thanks TPT Sellers Challenge!!> is to increase the number of followers I have as well as the number of creations and freebies I have posted! It would be so awesome if I could get my store to 500 followers!!!

Those are a few of my Teaching Bucket List goals! Make sure to hop on over to My Day in K or Teach Talk Inspire to see who else has linked up! You can link up too and share your Teaching Bucket List with us!

Also, don't forget that you can still link up with me for Spotlight Saturday!! Come on over and shine your Spotlight on your favorite products, activities, ideas, or resources! This week I Spotlighted some Facebook freebies and an AMAZING blogger T-shirt deal from A + Images!!

  10. Erin, I enjoyed reading through your bucket list. I went back for my master's in reading and loved it. I highly recommend it and think it's a great idea. One day when I am ready to leave the classroom I would like to try a reading specialist role. I think it would be wonderful to attend more conferences. It is my hope to go to Vegas next year. I always feel recharged after I leave. I wish you all the luck as you work towards attaining your goals. Thanks for sharing and linking up with us.
